Prayer concerns:
As we pray
for each other, let’s pray specifically:
1. Pray for our church as we take the bold steps necessary to accomplish our mission and vision for ministry.
2. Pray for opportunities to meet new folks and opportunities to invite them to attend church with you.
3.
4. Always
give thanks to God and seek fellowship with God along life's way.
Worship and Bible Study:
When you worship, what do you hope for? What do you expect and want to experience? What brings you to a place of worship and what helps you find yourself worshipping? These are important questions and we hope you find a place and fellowship of Christians that meet you in worship.
We invite
you to worship with us each Sunday at 11:00 a.m. We worship when we collectively
offer God our words and thoughts of awe, gratitude, and praise. We worship
when we encounter God through moments of meditation, prayers, hymns, musical
reflections and responses. Worship is complete only when we respond to personal
insights and scriptural truths where God (the nature and character of God)
is revealed.
The people of God are challenged more today by moral isssues, ethical issues, financial issues, personal issues, health issues, and so much more than ever before in our lifetime. So how do "the people of God" live faithfully in the face of these issues? While the Bible is not intended to be a manual, it is a God-inspired guidebook. By studying the story of God's revelation to people, we can discern the spirit of God, the heart of God, and the mind of God. With this foundation firmly in place, the people of God have the tools needed to live faithfully.
All ages get together at 9:30 a.m. for our Christian Education Fellowship. Then at 9:50 a.m. we offer Bible Study and Sunday School classes to empower and encourage Preschool exploration, Children's discoveries, Youth & Young Adult society interventions, and Adult real-life responses.
We invite you to join us at your next opportunity.
Meditation Garden
If you haven't already been to visit the Meditation Garden, take the time to do so. The church has prepared this gift for the community and it has been very well received. The garden can easily be seen from Angelo's parking lot as it is marked by a white cross. You can drive up the grass drive way directly behind and to the left of the Fellowship Shelter. The cross is illuminated from dusk to dawn. It is peaceful and quiet - a beautiful place to pray and reconnect with God any time of the day or early evening.
Fellowship Shelter
The Fellowship Shelter is a wonderful addition to our church property. We occassionally have worship services in the shelter as well as fellowship meals. It is surrounded by a large field which is perfect for playing games. The Fellowship Shelter is available for rent by families, private parties, and community groups. Some restrictions do apply. Contact the church office for additional infoormation.
Ecumenical Community Garden
The Ecumenical Community Garden is a new ministry endeavor to feed the hungry and the soul. The Chapel Door is being joined by other churches and community groups to develop a garden spot on the church's property that will provide food to be distributed by Food for Fairview and others in the community who encounter the hungry.
