The Chapel Door News & Information

May you experience the joy of the Spirit of God as you embark on the days

of winter and the journey toward the cross of Jesus during the season of Lent.

Prayer concerns:

As we pray for each other, let’s pray specifically:

  1. Pray for our church as we take the bold steps necessary to accomplish our mission and vision for ministry..
  2. Pray for opportunities to meet new folks and opportunities to invite them attend church with you.
  3. As you pray thank God for:
    1. the fellowship we enjoy
    2. the care that is offered to each other
    3. being active in our lives
    4. giving us the courage to be the body of Christ
    5. (your thoughts of gratitude)

Worship and Bible Study:

We invite you to worship with us each Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

We will gather each Sunday anticipating the richness of combining the traditions that bring us together as Christians from all denominational backgrounds. We will cling to the holiness and power we experience as we encounter the presence of God in worship through prayer, music, the reading of Scripture and the message from our pastor.

During the summer we enjoyed outdoor community services at our building site in our Fellowship Shelter just off 74A across from Angelo's Restaurant. Our modular buildings arrived in late November. Construstion is well underway and we anticipate moving in February. In the meantime we are continuing to meet in the rented space at the Asheville-Fairview Prudential Real Estate building on 74-A.

We welcome you for a time of fellowship each Sunday at 9:30 and the Bible Study at 9:45 a.m.

We offer two adult classes with delightful and intriguing discussions. And we offer classes with age approprite topics and activities for preteens, children, and preschoolers.

Meditation Garden

If you haven't already been to visit the Meditation Garden, take the time to do so. The church has prepared this gift for the community and it has been very well received. The garden can easily be seen from Angelo's parking lot as it is marked by a white cross. You can drive up the grass drive way directly behind and to the left of the Fellowship Shelter. The cross is illuminated from dusk to dawn. It is peaceful and quiet - a beautiful place to pray and reconnect with God any time of the day or early evening.
